Macbook pro to HDMI TV and Kodi

Hi all,

Have a 2011 macbook pro and just bought a cable to connect to Hdmi port on tv......want to use Kodi to see stuff from my macbook on my tv.

Connected cable and tried it.....it show my desktop but does not show the Kodi app when launched. It does have the audio through the tv but does not show the app, only the macbook pro desktop.

Any ideas?

Try closing the lid to your laptop, for some reason something similar happened to me where whenever I would plug in the hdmi to the adapter the screen would blow up in size only after I got aggravated n closed the lid did it make itself the proper aspect for the screen... Not sure if it would help your situation but worth a shot
