MacBook Pro to HDTV via HDMI Problem

Hey,

I have a MacBook Pro Late 2008 edition. I have connected my MBP to HDTV via the following connections:

MBP:->mini Display Port to HDMI cable to HDMI port on my HDTV.

It works fine but after a 2 mins or so the signal breaks and onlt reappears after i change the resolution back from settings->display on my macbook pro.

can anyone suggest if there is a problem in my HDMI cable or the mini Display to HDMI adaptor (I use MOSHI).

Given that a member of my family has a similar setup to you, with an older MacBook Pro, and it works just fine for them... I suspect that your hunch about cable or adapter problems may be right. First, though, make sure that your connections aren't loose.
