About to order a new, completely speced out 27" iMac (can't wait, really excited).

 My question is my wife and I have a late 2011 13" Macbook pro (check signature below for specs) and I was wondering, can we connect the Macbook to the new iMac using a thunderbolt cable and use the iMac as big screen for the Macbook. Reason for it is we have a lot of stuff on the Macbook that would be nice to use/see on the iMac.

All comments much appreciated, thanks!!! :apple:

***Also if there is another thread for this, my apologies I could not find one, so please don't fuss about that*** ;)

Target Display Mode will work with Thunderbolt equipped Macs, but know, that the integrated graphics processor (IGP) in the 13" MBP is weaker than in the 27" iMac, thus a data transfer from the MBP to the iMac might be a better choice.
