MacBook Pro to iMac with Thunderbolt cable

Hi. Can I use a Thunderbolt cable from the MBP MiniDisplay Port (mid 2010) to iMac (late 2012) Thunderbolt port to see the MBP in target mode?

your mbp is not thunderbolt capable, so you CANNOT use any thunderbolt equipment including the display with it. There isn't an adapter in the world to solve other than getting a 2011 version. the link is thunderbolt to firewire which has nothing to do with displays.

I was unclear... sorry.
I don't had to see a display... But see the MBP like a HD in the iMac, pushing T when you turn on the computer.

Can I connect the MacBook Pro FireWire 800 to the iMac whit this adapter (FireWire-Thunderbolt), in target mode?
