I received a 2019 MacBook Pro (2 TB3 ports) from my parents before going to university. For the past two months or so the touch bar has frequently been flashing annoyingly. My main theory is that the battery is not delivering sufficient power to the touch bar, because when the laptop does anything as intensive as streaming a video the flashing becomes more infrequent until stopping after half a minute.
Has anybody else had a similar issue, and what did you do to resolve it? My warranty has probably expired by now. Usually I wait until the computer is unusable before upgrades but now I see three paths of action: do I try my luck at getting repairs, spend much of my savings (4000 USD) on one of the newer models, or just live with the flashing until something more serious starts happening?
Edit: if it helps, I looked into system information and I have 871 battery cycles already.

It's a known issue, but I've never had it with my 2016. Haven't heard of anyway to truly fix it short of replacing the top case. I don't think your model is eligible for the keyboard replacement program, which would fix it, but if your battery needs to be replaced, you might be able to do that for $200, and it would also replace the top case.

There are some program scripts to prevent the flashing by keeping the touch bar from going to less than full power, or something, but I don't know how well they work. Here's one here:
