I used to press command + option + eject/power button on my old MBP to sleep the mac.

How do I do this now on the new macbook pro with touchbar? I tried pressing the touch ID / "power button". Didnt work. Actually pressing the touch ID / "power" button when the Mac is on doesnt seem to do anything at all.

I'm not aware of a key combination on the internal keyboard, cmd+option+eject/pwr works on external keyboards still. You can add a sleep button to the touch bar though.
