Long story short some water fell on my Mac. I opened it and noticed water ontop of the battery and the sensor next to the trackpad was red. I removed the motherboard and didn't notice any other red stickers.

When I press the power button I notice the light on the right hand side turns on and then turns off.

When I press the power button while looking at the fan I notice that the fan starts spinning and then it stops at around the same time the light turns off.

I removed the battery and plugged it in to the MagSafe and it does the same thing

The only noise I hear the computer making is the clicking the hard drive makes

The only way I can get it to turn on is by holding the power button for like 10 seconds (I read this resets the capacitors or something like that). This turns it on and it works great. I had some issues with the trackpad where if I clicked it too much the computer then turned off.

I took out the trackpad and cleaned it up a bit. Replaced it and now that doesn't happen

Will it be safe to wash the motherboard with alchohol and a toothbrush and let it dry for a day?

The battery is swollen from the water, but it does the same without... Could it be the battery?

Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
