I have a 2011/12 A1278 MacBook Pro. When it works it’s a really good device but I stopped using it as it was too slow and was constantly powering off.
Decided to take it to someone to get a new SSD put in. When it went it it was on but running very slow. It would not shut down so battery would get drained. Whilst on shop the guy said battery hadn’t been through enough cycles to warrant changing.
I left with it it working, the guy rang me to ask if I had problems with it not turning on. I said said no as it never has but he says it won’t switch on
Now have it back as he can’t do what he needs to. Bit frustrated, but can anyone help with any possible reasons or fixes, I have tried resets etc
