Hi everyone, I have a 2010 Mac Pro 15 i5, swapped the keyboard out. Problem, the zif connector with the flap that accepts the keyboard ribbon cable is lloose..the new cable does insert, the zif connector flap locks' down, and does not lock the cable in place.

Is there a way to tighten the pins inside the zif connector so they properly contact the ribbon cable?

TIA,

No, because there are no "pins" that stand up in the traditional sense. The ribbon is pressed onto generally flat contacts by the moveable switch. Check if the ribbon is fully inserted into the socket before locking the switch.

It's generally very difficult to break these kinds of sockets. I'm guessing that it's more a problem with the way you're inserting the ribbon cable than with the socket itself.
