When I try to turn on my MBPu late 2008, the screen doesn't turn on at all. I connected it to the TV via HDMI and it works fine, the problem is that the cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard looks like one of the pins is completely bent out of shape.

My question is, where can I buy either the entire top case or just that specific part? It would be a shame if I need to purchase the entire top half of my MBPu for just one single pin :(

You'd be surprised how many get caught by this: is your screen brightness perhaps turned all the way down?

Nope, the screen is completely dead. I've been looking around for the replacement cable but I do not even know what it is called.

Did you ever find a solution to this?

My 15.4" LCD (LED) is out and needs to be replaced.... Had a authorized service provider diagnose the problem. I'll be the one opening it up and replacing the LCD. Any videos or technical links would also help.. Thanks..
Chris
