Hi everyone,
I was recently trying to install Windows 10 on to my MacBook Pro late 11(8,1) when I had encountered an issue.
I am currently stuck In a boot menu style thing and I am unable to do anything at all with the system, the whole keyboard is unresponsive while booting the machine so I am unable to do anything at all and it sends me to a black screen where it says "No bootable device".
I have tried several different trouble shootings (e.g. "holding down the alt/option key", "holding down the "C" key", "holding down command alt/option "P" "R"") but non of these work whist the machine is booting as the keyboard will not work. I have tried several external keyboards to do things as the main on board keyboard wouldn't work but still no joy doing so.
I have also tried resetting the SMC on the Mac and also reseting the PRAM/NVRAM but still nothing and the keyboard will still not work and I am very stuck for ideas as non of the trouble shooting guides will resolve this issue.
The USB ports are still working on the MacBook how ever but the bootable usb that I had still will not boot on the system at all.
With the system being unresponsive all together I am very stuck for ideas and I have tried most things that I have googled about and I have been trying to get this working for 6 hours and I just don't really know what to do anymore, and was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me fix this.
I am not bothered about losing any data that I have on this machine as all my files are backed up over several devices. I just need a fix to this to get my machine back up and working being as though I use it every single day.
Any answers at all will be appreciated to get me to get loved MacBook back to life
I would also really appreciate any shares on this post to try and solve it quicker
Thank you in advance
Josh
