Macbook Pro Update?

Is it only the Macbook or is the MBP going to be updated soon? I'm thinking it would be a good idea to get a current generation on sale after they update them. But have not been able to find info on the Pro updates. thanks

both will be getting Montevina and possibly case redesigns as well. The biggest changes (at least cosmetically) are rumored for the macbook, but the mbp is also rumored to be getting a new keyboard, maglatch, stuff like that.

[Montevina] is scheduled for release at Computex Taipei 2008, which will take place on June 3 - 7, 2008.

No new apple refresh till July at earliest. It is common for apple to wait after the release of a chip. At that point, they might as well make a big refresh in January's MWSF.

so is it a good idea to possibly get one of the old ones after they are updated? I'm new to macs and just trying to find the best one for me. I want to get an iMac but I liked the look of the Macbook Pro but i know that i cant afford one unless discounted or something
