hello all!

So I was having some troubles with my old MacBook so when I went in they just handed me a new one (yay apple!). What they gave me was the 15inch MacBook Pro with 2.2ghz 16gb ram 256 flash storage

I am considering trying to pay the difference and upgrade to the next level. The one I am looking at is the AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB GDDR5 upgrade

The main reason that I would do this is that I would love to boot camp it and play the witcher 3. I had given up hope of being able to do this with the old machine but now it seems the possibilities have opened up!

So my question is: do either of these machines have a chance at running the game? Will they both be able to run it or if I want to get some witcher action do I need to get the upgraded model.

Also, I don't really care about the storage difference so it would be the better gpu that I would be going for. If I do it will I notice any other differences in how the machine runs?

Thanks in advance!

You do know you could simply google the system requirements for Witcher 3 and see for yourself, right? It would've gotten you your answer a good 6 hours sooner.

It's not that hard, and a good rule of thumb is : bigger number in my computer, I'm good.

My advice:
Don't look a "gift horse" in the mouth.
Be happy with what you've been given!

It will run the game. The AMD MBP will run any current game. Now keep in mind the MBP is not a gaming laptop. So while it will run it, and at decent settings. Don't expect it to run a t retina. Probably just 720p with normal to high settings. I currently run GTA V on my MBP and I can to 1080p on low at 30fps or 720p on Normal at around 50 to 60 fps. Plays very well, but its not ultra

Thanks for the advice! I went ahead and did the upgrade and will post how it goes!
