MacBook Pro USB Port broken?

So when I try to hook up my Performance MX mouse USB bud into one of the USB ports, it doesn't register but with the other it does. Weird.

So I try my digital camera USB connector. Nothing with the same one, works fine with the other.

How can I confirm that this USB port is broken? I am currently in university right now and really don't have time to send it in.

Mine did it too, I just rebooted and it fixed it.
