Weirdly, just recently the USB ports on my MacBook Pro have been spastically working. For example, both of my USB backup drives work perfectly fine in both ports, but if I try to plug in the dongle for my Logitech mouse, the USB cable for my phone, or most other USB devices into either port, it doesn't work under Mac or Windows.

But some things, like my flash drive or wired mouse, if I plug them into the first port, they work fine. But if I plug them into the second port, they don't work. At first I thought it was because I have the dev preview of Lion installed, but I remember the same issue being present just before I wiped SL. Plus, the issue exists on the Windows side as well. Any ideas?

Had a similar issue with my white MB a couple of years ago, took it to the apple store and they solve it, never asked what they did.
