MacBook Pro Users: Please read

How many of you have actually had your power adapter melt, spark, or any other kind of not so good thing happen? I was looking over on the Apple store (online) and the "reviews" for the magsafe adapter are FILLED with people saying "Mine melted!!!" and the like. So has anyone here had this happen or is this just Mac haters seeing news and flaming Apple for it?

Currently mine is fine. I have to say though, that the cable end (where you plug it into the laptop) looks like its kinking and its misshapen. I am concerned about the longevity of this product.

I have read the reviews, and I do go out of my way to be careful with it too.

Mine is absolutely fine, although I can tell how some people get this result. I do check mine every once and awhile and I find it very very hot sometimes so I'm sure when that is combined with the right type of surface it could melt or something.

Never melted, but I've had 2 PSU's die on me. No excessively odd smells or other burning evidence. Light went out and that was it - no power.

Mine did start to melt and stopped working. I immediately took it to an Apple Store and they promptly replaced it. I had a battery go out on me also, which they also promptly replaced.

I have noted that the MagSafe on my Macbook gets very warm. Not the connection end, but the actual little white box. I keep an eye on it.
