MacBook Pro ventilator noise

hi,

my mac book pro ventilator is annoyingly noisy.
in order to reduce the noise i did following steps:

1. opened my mac book pro and cleaned ventilator
2. downloaded smcfancontrol, fan control and hdd fan control
3. put the minimum speed of 1100 rpm

and its still noisy
temperature of my computer is between 22C and 35C
so i don't need ventilator to work that much
what can i do
all help is appreciated

I note you cleaned the fans.

What kind of noise is it?

The fans will spin all the time and are small. Small fans tend to rotate faster to move the same air as a large fan (obvious really), but this makes them noisier.

There should normally be the sounds of air being moved, and a high pitched whine from the hard drive.

Are you sure the noise isn't the hard drive?

I couldn't say the difference unfortunately
Before i had that noise just when i would start a computer. Now is all the time

Does it reduce the noise when you do little hits on the bottom part of your MBP (aprox. where the fan is allowed)? If it's that, I'd put my hand on fire that its a fan problem. The same happened to me 2 years ago, and I just replaced it by an ebay one (I bought it for 10$). It's quite easy to replace it, just taking off 3 screws and disconnecting 1 wire, nothing else. After 2 years with the new fan, it's still working like silk.

I don't know if you can change the fan of a retina MBP because I don't have one, mine is the normal MBP. But if you finally confirm that its a fan problem and you have a non retina MBP, just get a new fan and change it yourself: easy and cheap.

Platter hard drives can be noisy. The one in my 2008 machine is louder than both fans combined.

can you remove the HD from your computer and boot up outside?

If the fan is making some sound will hear it. take the fan out. and blow compress air between the inlet of the blade and the motor where is a tiny gap. with you fingers hold the blades so it do not move. and check again. if it sound, replaced. if it is not the fan is the HD that is staring to fail. the sound is like a click click.

If you installed fan controlling software and you have OS X Yosemite, you probably messed something up in the SMC. Do an SMC reset.

Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

fans get noisy when they are wearing out...could be the case, but I'm not sure how old your machine is.
