MacBook Pro VS Mac Book Air

Hi ya'll!

I'm planning on buying a new laptop..As a college student price is certainly a limitation for me.I'm currently choosing between the new MBA 13" and 13" MBP 2.3 GHz. BTW, this will be the first time I'll be buying a mac.

I do some photography work, so basically I'll be using the laptop for Photoshop and maybe aperture. Moreover i'll be using it for PC games, so I'll also be needing boot camp or any boot camp like software (sorry I'm not really a mac guy).

In summary:

MBP:
Upgradble Hardware
More HDD space

MBA:
Better Screen Quality
Very Portable
SDD
Cool silhouette

My current choice is the MBP, I'll just upgrade the RAM or the HDD to SSD in the long run.

In a photographer's point of view which one is better?

I'm working on this same decision at the moment. You've done a pretty good job collecting the pros and cons for each option. The things that it's come down for me, is which is more important to me, the nicer screen or the upgradeableness, because 4GB of ram may end up not being enough, especially if you are running photoshop.

I wish you could just take the screen out of the air and implant it in the Pro... haha
