Hello. I'm hoping that someone has experienced and resolved this issue.
Often times I let my MBP fall asleep on its own (usually overnight). The next morning when I try to wake it, the display comes on but nothing is responsive. The only thing to do is reboot with the power button. The only other details I can give are the follow:
1. The clock displays a time that's clearly in the past -- probably the time the machine went to sleep.
2. The machine is plugged in most of the time this happens.
3. I have SmartSleep Version 2.6 installed. This program only allows hibernation of the computer when the battery is at a critical level. It saves time/battery when you're mobile on battery, but accessing your computer at frequent intervals by not writing the 4GB RAM to the hard drive every time it sleeps.
4. When I put the computer to sleep manually, it wakes up just fine (at least I don't remember of any instance where it didn't.)
Any suggestions/insights would be appreciated.
Thanks,
