I was looking for some kind of holder or something where I could "slide" my macbook in. Something that will mount on my wall.

something along the lines of that, but nicer and more modern looking. Any ideas? :(

Something like that could be made from aluminum stock and then brushed to look like the MBP. I like the wood as it makes a nice balance to the metal. A different stain might look better. I use a desktop stand that I made from some teak I had. Finished with just oil.

Now doing some research, this does really seem homemade.
I mean there is literally no info on such wall mount.
Tbh I dont see the point of it either so no company would make it.

I would definitely buy a wall mounted stand for my MBP. It would be safer and more out of the way than anything on my already crowded desk. I am still looking for something along these lines ....

i wouldn't hang it on a wall .... what if suddenly the screw that holds the stand fails or the part of the wall cracks ....

it will suddenly be MBP versus Floor tussle.

If you drill proper holes on a proper wall and mount it properly then that isn't going to happen unless the whole house falls down.

What if the screws you use to hold up your TV come out? If you hit a stud, that little 5 pound MBP ain't going anywhere.

Here's a no-frills idea ... But I am not sure I would entirely trust my MPB to just 2 of those hooks, even if they are rated for 7.5 pounds each according to 3M. I can't find this guy's email address to ask him how it is working out, but it looks simple, at least. Here's a link and an excerpt of the page:

There are lots of ways to mount an iPhone to the wall. I ordered a Dockem (not shown) but when it came to the MBP, there were no good answers. So I created my own with two extra large 3M wall hooks and a smaller third 3M wall hook. The wall is concrete behind the drywall so this answer works pretty much regardless of the wall.

This also keeps my stuff off the floor, looks good and doesn’t take away from the space in my room.

I think I’ll keep looking into using wall mounting as a furniture alternative. Especially when all I really want is a place to put the odd piece.

You should get in touch with Jon Ive. His house is likely full of iphones and MBPs hanging on walls... :D
