Hey guys,

Recently I spilled a cup of water on my keyboard; immediately when it happened I pulled the power, flipped it over to let the water drain, and left it alone for a couple days. I recently turned it back on. The screen, processor, ram, etc. all function perfectly. However the keyboard no longer functions, but the trackpad does. Sometimes the keys work, but enter the wrong symbol. Also the backlight works.

Anyone have an idea what I most likely need to replace in order for it to function. I assume its more than just the keyboard itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

pop all the keys and clean? was it really water or something else...? Even water depending on whats in the water you had can leave behind residue after drying if its under the keys on the contacts.

It really was just water, few ounces maybe. The fact it registers keystrokes, but puts out different letters leads me to think it may be a bigger issue.
