Macbook Pro with 2 HDD/SSD

Hi all, I want to buy a used Macbook Pro and try to Max the RAM to 16GB and I also need a lot of hard disk space.
The only model that supports 2 hard drives is the Mid 2012 (9,1 or 9,2)?

All the other models has SSD disks?
Is worth it to buy this model or is best to buy a newer model and put a 1TB SSD disk?

More than RAM or CPU I need space, any recommendation with good battery life.

I don´t plan to do any hard work (video editing or similar)

I will really appreciated any recommendation.
