Hello!
If I buy the older Macbook Pro Unibody 13" with CD tray, does it still run OS X Mavericks if it came with a newer OS? Yes I have to downgrade from the OS X this was shipped with. The Macrumors Buyers Guide says it has not been updated from the specification since 2012 and Mavericks is from 2013.

Thanks

I bought mine back in July and yes, it was running Mavericks. You can upgrade to the latest for free. Apple tends to update the MacBooks they are currently selling with the latest OS so there's a chance it may include Yosemite now.

Yes you can downgrade it. You can't download Mavericks directly from the Apple App Store anymore though.
