Sup guys ,

I have a macbook pro 2.4ghz c2d santa rosa , with 256mb vram , i just got a brand new samsung 2232BW to use along with my macbook and was working fine until today , when i turned on the display i cant get maximum resolution anymore ( 1680 x 1050 ) just 1440x900 same as my 15.4" macbook display..
the display tab dont alow me to select more than 1440x900

anyone can help me on this ?
thanks.

Are you mirroring your MacBook Pro's display to your external monitor? If you are, both screens default to the lowest common resolution (which in this case is your MacBook Pro at 1440x900).

no , im not using mirroring.. and on the displays tab, i dont have more than 1440x900 to select for my external display , and liiike i said yesterday was just fine.. weird since i just turn off the computer before i sleep. and turn on when i wake up.

I think something like this happened to me before and u can dl a program called switchresx that can allow the right resolution.
