Hello, this is my first post on the forums. I have searched around but can't seem to find anything identical to my situation. I have a mid-2010 macbook pro. One day to power it on it does nothing. I power it on and can everything running but I get no chime when you first start it. The power light on the adapter lights up and the battery indicator level is full. No idea what could be causing this. Please let me know as the nearest apple store is 2 and a half hours away and I am hoping to save myself from a trip. Thanks for any help you guys leave!

So are you able to boot it up or not? What do you mean by "everything running"? If you're not able to boot up:
If you can boot up, but simply hear no chime, check to make sure your volume isn't muted or turned all the way down.

I apologize. I missed a word. I meant I can hear everything running but nothing happens, the screen stays off and the chime does not go.
