Hey guys! Macbook Pro 2018 won't charge, but the battery % will remain constant. This happened last week, I saw that there was an update, I updated and it started working again. Same thing is happening again today. Thoughts?

HEY FOLKS!
I have a related issue that resetting the SMC does not fix. I have a mid 2010 13" MacBook Pro.
The light on the charger is green and never turns amber. The battery just stays at the same level if its turned on and plugged in, but never charges. The little lightning icon is even over the battery icon. The battery health is good. I have replaced these parts: Battery, charger, installed ssd, installed ram, replaced battery indicator light. Everything else on the computer works great. I can't find the answer ANYWHERE. I always find a problem that's close, but not quite the same, and I've reset the sms in many different methods suggested from different people on youtube. This is so frustrating, and I don't live near an apple store/Genius Bar. I would even believe that its a logic board problem, except that the rest of the computer runs like it did when I first got it...better actually, with the upgrades. I would love any suggestions, as the upgrades already cost a couple hundred bucks.

Does this model have a "dc in board" attached to the motherboard?
Intended to control charging, etc.?

Check ifixit.com:

Check ifixit.com:
Even if everything else works fine and the power cord light is green and the computer registers that it is plugged in?

I can't answer that.
But I suggest you go over to ifixit and see what they have to say about it.

Could it be a problem with the replacement battery?

That’s a good question. But this is the second battery replacement with the same exact problem. The computer, also, reads that the battery is good. The part is cheap, so I already ordered the dc in board. It seems like my last chance, in hopes that it isn’t the logic board. I’ve been resisting the Apple store, because I don’t trust them fully to be honest with me, in the chance that they may be instructed to try to steer customers away from old equipment and towards new stuff they can sell me. However, I might take it there if the in board doesn’t work. I have yet to see this exact problem on any YouTube video, website, or forum. And I have yet to meet an experienced computer person online that is able to recognize the exact symptom set. I should be getting the new part tomorrow and will post an update as soon as I install it and see what happens.

The Apple Store probably won't work on a 2010 MacBook Pro any longer, claiming them to now be "obsolete".

One other thing ... did you check the Magsafe port for dirt, pins that aren't bent, etc.? Check the MagSafe cable, too.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, the charger is clean, and so is the in-port. However, I still replaced the charger just in case. I think that was actually the first thing I replaced. Then, the battery swelled and I replaced it. Then, I replaced the battery again, installed new ssd drive, and new ram. Everything is recognized as what it truly is on the computer when I look it up. Thank you for the suggestion. I really appreciate any help and suggestions anyone has.
