Hi,

Hoping someone may be able to help - my father's has (I believe) a 2012-ish MacBook Pro 13" (unibody, non removable battery) which will refuse to charge if it is currently in use.

For example: battery at 2%, plug in the MagSafe adapter, light goes from green to amber to indicate charging, but as soon as the computer is used or typed on, charging will stop. The only way to let charging continue is to not use the computer.

I've checked the MagSafe port for dust/debris, we've replaced the power adapter (with the correct one and wattage), reset the PRAM etc. but I'm not too sure what the issue is.

I've had a search but can't seem to find a definitive answer!

Thanks

If you connect the charger before the battery gets too low (say, around 20%)... does that make any difference?
