MacBook Pro won't recognize a retail Windows 7 Dvd....

Hi Everyone,

I'm experiencing the thing in the title. Osx (10.6.4) keeps telling me that I've inserted a blank DVD. It's a bought DVD, I'm sure it is working. I've installed it once even on the same computer. As I recall it was back then also a big problem to get the DVD to work with OSX.

Has anyone encountered the same problem and/or have a solution.

Sorry if this is a noob question and thanks in advance!

I had problems similar to that awhile ago..Superdrive died. My son's macbook is now doing the same thing, and unfortunately out of warranty.

Try the disk in another computer to be sure it reads. if it does, probably a bad drive.
