Hey guys. I'm new here. I hope you guys can help me. I have MacBook Pro early 2008 model. One day I went to restart it and it never did come back on. You press the power button and the white LED light comes on for a second then goes right back off. What could this be? I took the RAM cards out and turned it on. It beeped once. Then a few seconds later is beeped again. With about 5 seconds between beeps(or around that)

Sounds Logic Board related to me...You could get Apple just to take a look for you if you are near a store...Then you'd at least know what the exact fault s.

So do I need to replace the logic board?

I just did that on my wife's 13" macbook pro.....

Apple charges:
Item Number Description Price
S1498LL/A Labor Charge, IB/MB/MBAIR $ 100.00
S1517LL/A Flat Rate Repair Charge, IB/MB/MBAIR $ 180.00

Total (Tax not included) $ 280.00

took two days for a mid 2009 and they also replaced the battery (I did not ask for that)
