Hi,

My Macbook Pro will not stay in sleep mode.

When I close the lid, it will go to sleep for about 5 seconds and then just continuously wake up, then sleep, then wake up etc.

If I press sleep for the menu it just wakes up again after about 5 seconds.

Any ideas what this could be? The battery is completely screwed and the laptop is often plugged in, but even when I take it off charge the same thing happens.

Thanks,
Sam

I had this issue once and I had realized that my bluetooth keyboard was waking it up because a key was pressed down. I turned off my bluetooth and it stopped doing that.

I just checked, bluetooth is off and I even just tried turning the wifi off but it still didn't work.

I just realised that the battery condition currently states: 'Replace Now'.

Anyone had a similar problem caused by the battery?
