Macbook Pro won't turn on - heating issue?

I was at college just browsing the net and I had to go to class so I shut my macbook pro and put it in my bag. While I was in class I could hear my fan running extremely loud. I opens my bag and it was extremely hot, I could barely touch it. I quickly brought it out and opened he lid to see if it will wake up from sleep, it wouldn't respond it just had the black illuminated screen showing. So held down the power button to turn it off. I left it for a day to cool down. Now when I turn it on it will just remain at black illuminated screen.

I didn't do anything out of the norm when closing the lid and placing it in my bag.

Any help will be great!

Now when I turn it on, it it just a white screen. Plus makes beeps every now and then.

I tried booting from the dvd, safe mode etc
