I bought a new 15 inch macbook pro two weeks ago. But I found that sometimes it won't wake up after sleep. I did some search online. Someone says that is because it goes into a safe sleep mode.

This is really annoying. Is there any way to fix it? Or I just call apple customer service and ask for a repaire? Thanks.

IIRC, safe sleep is what it does when it goes to sleep because the battery gets too low. if this isn't what's happening, that's irrelevant to your problem.

Does SMC fix this problem? It sounds like a power off then reboot.

Just try it tonight and let's see whether it happens again in the future.

Thanks.

No. It is not low battery. It is always connected to power cord. Maybe it is not related to safe sleep mode. Is it a problem related to motherboard or battery?
