(if I don't open any background app) Click to expand... It should be fine. I play bf3 on my inferior desktop with 4gb of ram at 1440x900 with a gtx 280 and a dual core processor. However, the upgrade to 8gb is really cheap. I did on my 2011 mbp for only $50 from crucial.
