Hi All,
I'm after some advise regarding the purchase of a 15" MacBook Pro.
Is it worth waiting for the new 2015 update of the MacBook Pro (whenever that may happen) or just get the Retina one now?
The model i was hoping to get is the top spec one, so ideally i want to make sure this investment is a good one.
Thanks in advance.

At this point, I'd wait. If your need isn't pressing and you can get buy until this summer, you'll be better off.

I can wait, my needs arent urgent and since this will be my first Mac laptop, i want to make sure its the best i can get.
thank you for the reply.

With Broadwell coming in a couple of (or few?) months, I'd say it behooves you to wait. Plus Apple usually runs a back to school event over the summer and you can get an iTunes gift card when you buy a laptop - another plus for waiting :)

If you were getting the base model I'd say get one on a good deal now.

But the 750M is getting very long in the tooth now and wasn't that great to start with. Hopefully the new high end version will get a spanking new 900 series NVIDIA graphics card for you...

I was hoping to get the top one, i7 16GB RAM 512SSD... :)

Yeah

I was hoping to get the top one, i7 16GB RAM 512SSD... :)

But thats not all that different from the base model they are both i7 quad core with 16gb of RAM and you can upgrade the SSD size to 512gb on the base model if you like. It is the dGPU that sets them apart...
