Is $750 a good deal for a macbook pro 13" early 2011, with 750 GB on the hard drive and 16 GB RAM, and a 2.3 ghz i5 processor?

I wouldn't pay more than $500-550 for that machine, personally - it's a base 2011 with upgraded RAM and hard drive, basically (those upgrades aren't worth as much as you may think). It's 4 years old (no more warranty, most likely) and probably has a dodgy battery by now (unless it was replaced).

Yeah, you can get a 2012 model refurbed from Apple with better processor and a full one year warranty for $829. You would have to add some RAM and HD but those are cheap and can be added later if you really need them. $750 is waayy too much.

I'm on an early 2011 at work right now, I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a system that performs as this one is. Unless that upgraded 750 GB drive is an SSD, you need to set your expectations much lower.
