Hello everyone!

Well today, when i woke up, my macbook had no battery left! It usually stays charged until I go to sleep, which then I turn off the surge protector until the next afternoon. So let's just say about ~10 hours, the battery was low enough to cause a shutdown.

.....But, the problem is that I do this every day, and I usually wake up with about ~85% battery left! This is the first time it happened, so I will give it another night to test it out.

But aside from that, the macbook suddenly runs Super Slow! The opening of programs, or even the loading from a shutdown/restart takes about 7-10 minutes. I was running TechTool Pro 4, Advance Clean up (Or whatever that option is named), and stepped away from the computer. When I return, the screen was black, but the mouse arrow was movable, and visible. Every key I pressed made a noise on the computer (A Beeping sound).

To give you a little information about what I am running:
Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook5,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Memory: 4 GB
and I currently use 48% of the hard drive. (250GB)

Any ideas on what I should do? I visited a Genius today, but not for this problem (Track Pad Issue). I realized all this drastic slow down, etc when I came back home. Thank You!! I appreciate any help!
