Macbook Pro's only come with the power block?

I just got my 13 inch Macbook Pro and there isn't a cord anymore? Now you plug the big power block into an outlet? That thing takes so much room!!! I am glad I found a cord from my old Macbook and used that. I was a little disapointed that I didn't get a cord (with the 3 pron at the end). When did Apple stop shipping that?

Apple stopped shipping it ever since 2015 after they introduced the now discontinued MacBook (non-Air/Pro). I still have my old one from 2015 MBP so I'll use that when I need it.

You might ask anyone you know that has/had MBPs. The same cable has been used for 15+ years. So a lot of people have them lying around.

You now have to buy the "extension" for the charger with the 3-prong plug.
That's just the way it is...
