Macbook question: keys and speakers

Okay, so I noticed that the keys on the new Macbook are a little different. I imagine that Apple has givin into a bunch of school's and university's request to make the keys so that they cannot be pulled off by evil students. Is this true? How are the keys attached to the new Macbook, are they still flimsy or does it look like there is a layer of plastic in between the two?

Also, where are the speakers?
