Hello! I love my Macbook. I recently upgraded to 2 GB of Ram and it's like a whole new laptop. My question is this: Is it possible to pay for a new casing? In other words, I have the white Macbook and I am wondering if its possible to pay Apple to replace it with the Black casing. I think it would look sleek. If not, I still love the product!

Thanks for the help!

There is no way to have Apple to replace your casing with black. They want you to buy the whole computer.

It seems like in theory, a very determined person could order all the right casing parts, but it would probably be cost-prohibitive. Not that it costs that more to make something in black instead of white..but changing it. That would probably cost you. Best solution at this point is some sort of outer case or..using it in the dark? :D

Maybe this?

You might try this black, "Two piece snap-on protective leather shell":

I've seen it offered at several different vendors, so options in this.

No idea on the merits as I've never used one or even seen in person. But it appears attractive enough and might be nice.

My understanding that there is no practical way to change the MacBook case from white to black.

To me theres nothing wrong with the white macbooks. Personally I have a black macbook but even if i had a white one it wouldnt matter too much to me. I had the option of going black and so i did. And honestly, those cases that people put on macbooks look so nasty.

Same question I have mate, cept I have a Black Macbook, and was wondering if they could give me just a new case (blacK) if I payed for it, because it has some peeling...
