ive been searching the forums..and i havent found a definitive answer as to which brand, model, and where to buy a 4gb upgrade of ram..if you guys dont mind...can you please post specific links to specific products which are your personal recommendations for RAM on a MacBook

in my experience you cant go wrong with OWC or Crucial...

update: ordered 4gb ram from crucial, thank you for your help MR
 
Kingston 2 Gig. RAM -- KTA-MB667/2G

Well, if Crucial doesn't work out, I highly recommend Kingston. I'm using two sticks of 2 Gig., maxing out my 3rd generation MacBook to 4 Gig's. By the way, I did use my MacBook a little with the standard 1 Gig. just to see the performance difference. There sure is!

Yeah, I agree, I am using Kingston as well, 4GB on my MacBook, and it has given me no trouble. Such an easy install too. But I guess that doesn't help you since you've already ordered Crucial. In any event, you'll enjoy the added RAM for sure :)
