Sorry I should have written sooner. I returned my 2.4ghz macbook because of tilted keys and beachballing for some reason. I had called apple earlier in the week about it and set up a genius appt. today.

Since I was swapping for a new macbook, I got the discount on the swap and the four gig upgrade was only 50 bucks. No problems so far with the apple ram. They swapped it in the store.

Still have some slanted keys but this is my third macbook.

You know, I think because it doesn't have firewire I am EXTRA picky with it? I've have owned like 30 macs in my day and I have NEVER swapped a new one out before. Ever. I guess in the back of my mind, I'm like -- Apple is gypping me out of a firewire port, I'm going to be very very very picky about which Macbook I settle on.

There is something else weird about the lack of a firewire port, btw.

I have a Macally firewire/usb external desktop drive. I did a time machine backup on the last macbook and just transferred the info to the new Macbook via its usb port.

Now it will not register at all or come up on the desktop on my G5, whether i plug it in with firewire or usb.

VERY WEIRD. There are files not on the Time Machine back up on that disk that I need.
