I know this might have been posted a million times. But I'm about to buy a new macbook, and i plan to put 4gb of ram in it. Instead of buying them from apple (which would be insane) i plan to buy them here: ebay
Will they work and, are they good enough?

Whilst I'd agree that it makes sense to buy extra RAM from someone other than Apple, buying the cheapest possible from an unknown supplier strikes me as foolhardy at best.

Take a look at Crucial, OWC (www.macsales.com) or possibly newegg for RAM sold as Mac compatible. The price will be sensible, the RAM will be from a major manufacturer such as Micron, Kingston etc and you'll have some comeback if everything goes titsup.

You're probably right, OWC has good RAM at almost same price, I think I'll go witht that.
