Hi guys,
I have a unibody pro that is bootcamping vista ultimate for gaming. The current game im playing is fairly graphic intensive and i am leaving it running 24/7.

for the first few months it worked out well, but recently ive been getting random shutdowns which are recorded in the event viewer as 'sleep' events. i have all sleep features disabled so i dont expect that is the case. the book does get hot as hell and im wodnering if it is shutting down due to overheat, but im curious why it would have just started up after months of working fine.

I'm looking for some help in preventing these random shutdowns, if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

Are your fans spinning up? Did you set them via smcFanControl in OSX? Do you have Input Remapper installed on the Windows side? It sounds like your computer might be overheating.

thanks for the response,
i tried smc but the settings dont seem to carry over after restart.

i am not sure how input mapper would help cooling the system?

during games it is hot as hell, i know thats arbitrary, but it seems incredibly hot.
