I purchased a fan for my brand new Macbook a few days ago, and its been working great. Last night it was used while watching several movies on my Macbook. I did not leave my computer or fan on overnight, but after this morning, upon checking my Macbook an hour after turning everything on (I leave it on, downloading things), a notification warned me that the USB hub would be disconnected because the USB was drawing too much power. (This is the fan - plugs in via USB port.) Every time I plug the fan in, this notice comes up. This is a Belkin fan from WalMart that guarantees low power usage in order to keep a computer cool. PLEASE assist me in any way possible, thank you.

you can see how much power is available through system profiler (Spotlight it) under the USB section. If it is 500 mA then it's not a problem with the MacBook :)
