MacBook Rejecting my DVD-R's

I keep putting in blank DVD-R disks into my drive and my MB just keeps ejecting them. What's up?

how old is the MB?

You might also try a different brand of DVD-R. a few years ago, brands made a difference, and some brands just never really worked out on certain DVD Burners. that problem should have been resolved by now, but you never know.

I had an issue TDK DVD-R's, my macbook simply wouldn't use them. Not sure if it was a bad batch or what but I haven't had any problems since.

I have the same problem with my mbp. Memorex DVD-R's just wouldn't get mounted. When I tried another brand, it mounted but iDVD wouldn't burn to it, yet I could still burn normal files to it.

What brand do you have?

i JUST started having this problem a few days ago. (iMac 20" G5)
it's driving me insane because it will accept a blank DVD but after it's burned it won't accept the DVD anymore.

It happened to me too. Apparently it has to do with an update that Apple supplied to us. Take a look at this thread. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1029762.

Now that update was taken off the website after a couple of days.

If you find a fix let me know. I don't have one. I know this doesn't help.
