Hi, my 6 month old 'black'book macbook rejects every cd/dvd I insert after making the usual optical drive noises. Im guessing this is because the lens is dirty. Does anybody know how to clean it WITHOUT taking the Macbook apart?

thanks in advance

Hmmm I don't think you can clean other then taking the computer apart. But it's kind of risky to do it if you using something else and trying to poke into the drive though..I wouldn't dare..

That's what my Powerbook G4 was doing too.
I took it to the Genuis and the SuperDrive crapped the bed; you might need to replace it--applecare will cover it tho

Yep- it's dead. My PM G5's super drive did the same thing when it died. Take it in, unless you have the knowhow to replace the drive yourself.
