Macbook Resolutions

Hello,

I'm looking into buying a larger monitor, between 22-24 inch, widescreen probably, and I'm wondering if my Macbook will support the higher resolution required of these monitors? I have a 19inch widescreen and it supports 1440x900 but that's the highest one shown in system preferences :S Not sure if this means it can't go higher or if it's just not showing available options.

Any help much appreciated.

According to MacTracker, 2006 MacBooks support up to 1920 x 1200 on an external display.

According to MacTracker, 2006 MacBooks support up to 1920 x 1200 on an external display.

It will support up to 1920x1200 as long as you use DVI connection instead of VGA.
