Hello

My macbook sometimes reboots while I am using it. I may be running 2-3 programs and it randomly restarts but no other problems as far as I can see occur. Does anyone know why it randomly restarts? It does not happen that often but every once in a while. Thanks

it just randomly restarts...like it will turn off and turn on.

the screen will go black and it turns on instantly

the screen will turn black and just restart..and start up normally...there is no delay between it turning black and starting up....imagine turning on the computer from a black screen..exactly the same

Have same problem, MacBookPro Sys 10.5.6

I have this same problem and am trying to find the cause. No warning just re-boot. I saw a thread about login crash returning you to the user sign-in, not sure if this is what happens or if I'm getting the full chime and re-boot but whatever it is is happening without any notice or warning.

hi..i think it may be overheating because my fan does get really loud sometimes..and sometimes it does feel hot...but i havent checked to see if the comp is really hot when it turns off...i will check that next time it happens

does anyone know how to clean a fan by any chance in the macbook?
