macbook restore dvd problems

I lost my restore dvd's so i borrowed a friends macbook dvd restore disc but i get an alert message that says alert this software cannot be installed on this computer. I thought the discs were identicle but if they arent where can i get factory replacement discs and what info am i supposed to give them, since I cannot get into my mac to tell them? I cannot find the link on apple.com

AppleCare will probably be able to help you. Apple has made model-specific discs for quite some time now.
