Hi, I just got a macbook pro retina mid 2014 from my brother in law
it had water damage on it, what I notice when I open it up that the pci ssd is not there my brother in law said he think that the guy who take to fix before took it.

anyway the macbook have no display when plugged in and turn on, fans turn for a moment and then stop and then stop with no chime or display

my question is, what causing the no display is it the water damage for sure or could it be that there's no ssd flash storage ? I know the older macbooks get ? in folder flashing if hard drive not installed but never had retina without ssd.

please any input will help here

thank you

If you're getting no display, that's most likely caused by the spill. Definitely not caused by the missing SSD.
